Its one was my friend’s birthday yesterday ( I actually found out the day of because i m a horrible. ) but he likes Yuri Lowell, so I decided to doodle him a Yuri picture.

Hello! Well, first off I use SAI. I tend to look for custom brushes on for SAI that people had kindly uploaded on DeviantArt. Just search Custom Sai Brushes! I believe I’m using this one;

There should be directions on how to install them into your SAI program. 

If you’re using another program that’s not SAI, just see if you can find custom brushes from DeviantArt, but I suggest using SAI because it’s user friendly and it’s also a powerful program for painting. 

The only other things I can suggest is to play around with your brushes and also mess your brushes density setting ( i keep base coloring at 100%, but when i shade/ do quick a coloring, I keep it about 60-90% depending on what brush I’m using.) . You really just have to practice, practice, practice because even I still get frustrated when it comes to coloring and also line art. 

I also suggest you go on youtube and watch a bunch of speed paint videos, there’s tons of them! You can study their techniques and possibly even inspire you. 

But with my Orihime doodle, it was just a doodle so it was a super quick paint job, it took me about 10-20 minutes to color it. So If you want to color like that, just loosen yourself up and just color. Lastly, remember where your light source is actually coming from because that can also be a bit of help when it comes down to shading.

edit: I forgot. For that doodle, I believe I used the round brush tool and the custom copic marker tool.

Been watching the Fairy Tail anime because waiting weekly for a chapter is just pure torture.
